Softball pitch charting from one game video

You film the whole game from behind the plate and upload the file from a laptop. Most games are ready in 10 to 20 minutes. What comes back is a log of the game, pitch by pitch:

• Every pitch in game order, each one timed to the video.
• Pitch type and AI-estimated velocity for each pitch.
• The count for each pitch, and how each at-bat ended.
• Pitch counts for each pitcher in the circle, with average and top estimated velocity.
• Filters by pitcher and by inning.

Click a pitch in the log and the video jumps to it. Nobody on your staff has to chart during the game. Pitch charting without a scorekeeper explains what the log replaces.

The product’s name is Baseball Tracker for Coaches, and it charts softball games as well. A softball staff uses the same portal and gets the same pitch log and the same rollups.

• The file: MP4 or MOV, up to 30 GB, one file for each game.
• The upload: from a laptop, in small chunks that resume if your connection drops.
• The video: kept for playback for 30 days after upload. The pitch log, stats and rollups stay in your account.
• The price: one Coach plan, the same for every staff.

• The velocities are AI estimates from video. They are not readings from a radar gun, and the product does not replace one.
• The pitch mix charts group pitch types into fastball, slider, changeup, curveball and sinker. A pitch with any other label, a rise ball or a drop ball for example, is counted as Other in those charts.
• Names come from your roster, matched by jersey number. Players who are not on a roster may appear without names.
• A roster is optional for your first game. From the second game on, the team needs at least 9 players on its roster.
• It is a pitch log. It does not produce a box score and it does not chart the game live.

The sample game on this site is a demonstration with made-up players and made-up numbers. It shows the review screen your staff would get. It does not show softball pitch speeds.
